    The Early Head Start Program Coordinator willHire, supervise and evaluate Early Head Start Program staff for both the Homebased and Center based program option.

     

    Work Location: 635 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Hire, supervise and evaluate Early Head Start Program staff for both the Homebased and Center based program option.
    • Work with all Early Head Start staff (Home Visitors, Parent Advocates) to ensure the effective implementation of the program Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) Strategies led to full enrollment of program participates.
    • Ability to collect, aggregate and analyze program data and use it to recommend program decisions and seek program opportunities.
    • Ensure that Early Head Start policies and procedures as well as the Head Start Performance Standards are properly interpreted and applied for staff under the supervisors Leadership.
    • Provides leadership, training and coaching to assist Early Head Start staff in meeting child, family, and program goals using the Early Learning Framework as a guide.
    • Provides oversight to ensure appropriate curriculum implementation with fidelity, a caring, and nurturing relationship with enrolled children and parents that supports them in maintaining safe, healthy, educationally stimulating home environments and the accomplishment of family goals.
    • Assists in planning, monitoring, and evaluating pre and post natal education and home based services in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards. Recommend modifications or additions to program policy/procedures.
    • Ensure that the Center base site meets all relevant, federal, state and local licensing requirements.
    • Work with Corporate Director of Volunteerism for enhancing special events and holiday parties.
    • Plan with Nutritionist, menus for both programs and nutrition education for parents
    • Coordinate with Capital Health, Hopewell, Labor and Delivery for pregnant moms.
    • Coordinate with Capital Health – Health Start for prenatal services for pregnant moms.

     

    Qualifications

    Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work or related field. Master’s preferred.

     

    Experience Requirements: The Education and Early Childhood Supervisor must have at least three (3) years of supervisory experience implementing services using the Head Start Performance Standards as well as three to five years of experience working in a prenatal, infant and toddler programs. Home visiting experience preferred
