The Home Educator/Visitor provides Early Head Start child development educational services, social services, health services and parent involvement services to children age birth through three years and pregnant mothers. The Educator/Visitor will provide up to 90 minute home visits to birth to 3 year clients weekly; and up to 90 minute visits to pregnant mothers and families with the frequency and duration determined by the pregnant mother and family.
Schedule: Monday through Friday; 09:00AM – 05:00PM
Must be available to work evenings and weekends

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Job Duties: The Home Educator/Visitor provides Early Head Start child development educational services, social services, health services and parent involvement services to children age birth through three years and their families:
(I) Must have a minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential or equivalent coursework as part of an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree and
(II) Demonstrate competency to plan and implement home-based learning experiences that ensure effective implementation of the home visiting curriculum and promote children's progress across the standards decribed in the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework: Ages Birth to Five, including for children with disabilities and dual language learners, as appropriate, and to build respectful, culturally responsive, and trusting relationships with families.
The Home Educator/Visitor must have knowledge of community resources with demonstrated experience providing parent education to families. Able to speak, translate and comprehend the Spanish language. Familiar with area’s in City of Trenton. Two to three years’ experience in Early Childhood development and education, social services, or in a family support program with at risk families required.
