  • Overview

     

    The Social Worker III will provide in-home and in-office emotional and behavioral therapy for children ages 3 - 21 and their families.

    Schedule:  35.0 Hours Per Week

     

    Expected Length of Assignment:  Three Months with the possibility of extension

     

    Bilingual English/Spanish and Training in Trauma Informed/Evidence Based treatment modalities preferred

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Supports families in the management of crisis as needed. These services are intended to help the child and family better manage trauma, separation and/or loss.
    • As services are provided in the family’s home, the Social Worker III must travel to these homes. When necessary, services can also be provided in the child’s school, other places in the community convenient to the child and family and conducive to treatment, or in the CHSofNJ office as determined by the Social Worker III’s Supervisor.
    • Services provided must be properly documented in a timely manner in CHSofNJ’s electronic Health Record, Evolv. This documentation must conform to both the Social Worker III’s licensing requirements and CHSofNJ’s current agency standards and practices.
    • Provide the fiscal department with timely submission of all necessary documentation required for any type of fee for service billing. Additionally, assist the fiscal staff with trouble shooting, problem solving, obtaining additional information, and providing additional documentation necessary to resolve any billing issues.
    • Complete all necessary initial and ongoing assessments, treatment plans, monthly summaries, and discharge assessments in a thorough and timely manner in Evolv. This documentation must conform to both the Social Worker III’s licensing requirements and CHSofNJ’s current agency standards and practices.
    • When required, attend and participate in family team meetings, treatment team meetings, and case conferences for the children and families for whom the Social Worker III is responsible. Information from these meetings must be documented in a thorough and timely manner in Evolv.

     

     

    Qualifications

     

    Education Requirements:

    The Social Worker III must have a Master’s degree from an accredited school of social work, psychology or counseling.  New Jersey LCSW or LPC required.

     

    Certification or License Requirements: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in New Jersey and must be certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

     

    Work Experience Requirement:

    Must have at least 4 years of experience in therapeutic counseling.  Experience should include therapeutic counseling in the areas of foster care, trauma, grief, separation and loss, and managing emotional and behavioral issues with children.  Must also have experience working with families as part of the therapeutic process.  Bi-lingual is a plus.
