Overview

The Bilingual (English/French/Creole) WIC Outreach Clerical Coordinator will connect with the participants in Mercer County and connect them with collaborative community partners.

 

Schedule:

35 Hours Per Week

Flexible schedule needed and ability to work some evening and weekend hours, including Wednesday hours of 11:30AM - 7:30PM

WIC of Mercer County Office

1440 Parkside Avenue

Ewing, New Jersey

 

Responsibilities

  • Connecting with the participants in Mercer County and connect them with collaborative community partners.
  • Conduct community outreach to ensure maximum client participation in WIC program and ensure attendance in informative and educational health fairs.
  • Provide outreach materials to community agencies and collaborates with community programs in planning and representing the program at scheduled health fairs.
  • Under the guidance and support of the program director publicizes the WIC program through community events and the local media.
  • Under the guidance of the program director and unit supervisors prepare and develop social media outreach information for posting on the social media and website
  • Arrange regular WIC Program updates to key groups such as local health care centers staff who complete WIC forms.
  • Contacts office managers for local health care providers, day cares and other community organizations to share, clarify and confirm information about WIC program.
  • Plans and Coordinates WIC mobile unit events with our community partners.
  • Scheduling weekly events with community partners utilizing the WIC on Wheels mobile clinic.
  • Under the direction of the WIC administrative staff coordinate all internal agency’s outreach events and organize relevant activities
  • In the absence of the office manager sending 2 days advance TeleTask reminder to all participant in the schedulers
  • Responsible for determining participants’ program eligibility, health screenings (blood work and anthropometrics); answer phone calls, schedule appointments via phone or TeleTask chats with participants
  • Work harmoniously with program director, supervisors, team and associate
  • Maintains confidentiality and provides administrative support to the program director as needed.

 

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree preferred.  A Valid Driver’s license required to drive the mobile WIC unit.

 

Work Experience Requirements:

One-year experience with administrative duties required with strong interpersonal skills

Computer, customer service, and working with children experience within a fast paced environment.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Possesses excellent customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Applies knowledge of organizational rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Organized and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Effective delegation of clerical tasks
