Be a part of a team that supports families to thrive within their communities! The goal of the CHSofNJ Child Care Center at Trenton Central High School is to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that enhances child development and strengthens the relationship between the child and parent. Staff engage with parents at drop-off and pick-up times, invite parents to join their children at the center during lunch times and free periods. They also work with parents during out-of-school hours to help them access resources, troubleshoot problems, discuss their child’s development and develop joint strategies to promote their progress.
The Case Manager will play a pivotal role at the center, helping to coordinate the various health, behavioral health, benefit and social services in which the student parents participate, including those provided by Early Head Start; and liaising with Trenton Public Schools’ School Based Youth Services, Parent Linking Program staff and supporting their work, including developing Family Partner Agreements, providing case management, and facilitating support groups.
The Case Manager will utilize the teaching of the Brazelton Touchpoints Center to influence and inform their work with families. Trainings in the Touchpoints Approach and New Born Observation, along with others, will be provided at no cost.
