About Supportive Visitation Services: Parent-child visitation services for DCP&P-involved families with children in out-of-home placement to maintain and strengthen familial interactions and facilitate permanency. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting that maintains safety along a continuum of supervision based on family need. Core activities include ongoing assessment, visitation, aftercare (post-reunification support), transportation and documentation.
The Bilingual (English/Spanish) Supportive Visitation Aide is responsible for transporting children and/or parents to and from visitation locations, while ensuring the safety of the passengers. (Agency Vehicle Provided). The Aide will document transportation encounters and visits, as well as supervise visits. The position engages with families to promote a healthy attachment while ensuring the environment for parent-child contact is safe and non-traumatizing. The Aides advocate for and coach parents/families from a trauma-informed perspective. Active listening skills and the ability to recognize non-verbal communication are important to the role in order to empower family members to communicate their goals and needs.

Salary Range: $48,000.00/Annual

Note: Thirty (30) semester hour credits from an accredited college, which must include twelve (12) semester hour credits in the behavioral sciences, may be substituted for the experience listed above.
License: Required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey and a clean driver’s abstract.
