Overview

ABOUT SUPPORTIVE VISTATION SERVICES (SVS): Parent-child visitation services for CP&P- involved families with children in out-of-home placement to maintain and strengthen familial interactions and facilitate permanency. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting that maintains safety along a continuum of supervision based on family need. Core activities include ongoing assessment, visitation, aftercare (post-reunification support), transportation and documentation.

 

DESCRIPTION: The Supervisor provides coordination, oversight, and supervision of Visitation Aides. Responsibilities include tracking the receipt of SVS Referrals, maintaining the county specific waitlists, facilitating communication with RDSs about referral/waitlist status. Coordinates the Visitation Aides weekly schedules, the weekly visit room schedule, VPM schedule, and tracks administration of any required or optional assessment tools.  Maintains the fleet by conducting regular safety checks, confirming appropriate car seat inventory, and scheduling any necessary maintenance or repairs. Facilitates or co-facilitates onboarding and staff training, as specified, alongside Visitation Program Administrator (Clinical Supervisor) and supports the Visitation Program Administrator, (Clinical Supervisor), in ensuring Medicaid billing is timely and complete.

 

License: Required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey and a clean driver’s abstract.

Salary" $60,000.00 - $65,000.00/Annual

  • Utilizes various interviewing and/or communication techniques in a culturally competent manner.

  • Advocates for parents/families as necessary and supports them in advocating for

Coaching

  • Operates from a trauma-informed perspective.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field preferred; Minimum of 1 year experience with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/ or affected by trauma, preferred but not required.

OR

  • Associate degree in related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience with children and families, particularly families involved with the child welfare system and/ or affected by trauma preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of trauma and effect on children and families.
  • Experience/willingness to work with culturally diverse populations.
