General Purpose:
Under the administrative direction of the Head Start Education/Early Childhood Services Manager and under the direct supervision of the Site Coordinator, the classroom Teacher has major responsibility for all classroom operations including, planning, carry out activities, maintaining the classroom environment, supervising children, parent/teacher conferences, and supervision of classroom volunteers and teacher assistant.
Expected Length of Assignment: Temporary
Salary: $47,000.00

Essential Job Responsibilities and Performance Indicators:
Educational Requirements:
Must have a baccalaureate or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a baccalaureate or advanced degree and coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with experience teaching pre-school children to teach in the Head Start/Early Head Start classrooms.
Experience Requirements: Minimum of three years’ experience working with preschool aged children and families.
