ABOUT SUPPORTIVE VISTATION SERVICES (SVS):
Parent-child visitation services for CP&P- involved families with children in out-of-home placement to maintain and strengthen familial interactions and facilitate permanency. Services are provided in the least restrictive setting that maintains safety along a continuum of supervision based on family need. Core activities include ongoing assessment, visitation, aftercare (post-reunification support), transportation and documentation.
The WIC Nutritionist will provide individual nutrition counseling, facilitate group education, and serve as site coordinator at satellite sites as needed.
Schedule: 35 Hours Per Week
Must be able to be flexible and able to work late hours and weekend as needed.
Monday and Thursday – 8:30AM -4:30PM or 09:00AM – 05:00PM

The Part-Time Peer Counselor is a paraprofessional who has personal exclusive breastfeeding experience of at least six months who has successfully breastfed at least one child, is enthusiastic about breastfeeding, has basic communication skills, and is able to model good parenting and breastfeeding skills. Ideally, a peer counselor is a present or former WIC participant who is from the community where she works and can speak the language of those she serves. Reliable transportation is needed as travel throughout Mercer County is required.

The Peer-to-Peer Navigators (P2PN) are young adults that can harness their lived experiences in navigating foster care to engage, empower and connect with youth currently involved with the child welfare system. As compared to other professionals working with the foster care system who may lack these unique experiences and perspectives, P2PN serve as credible messengers that may be better positioned to authentically and meaningfully engage with youth experiencing a range of feelings as they enter the foster care system.
